Yes, a free FreeTheAI account. You sign in once on freetheai.org and the chat opens with the same account.
Where are my chats stored?
Only in your own browser. FreeTheAI does not keep the text of your conversations on its servers. When you send a message, it goes with the conversation it continues to the model's provider to get a reply; we pass it on without keeping it, and the provider handles it under its own policies. Clearing your browser data or switching devices leaves saved chats behind, so download the ones you want to keep as Markdown, HTML, plain text, JSON, or CSV.
Can I upload images and documents?
Yes. Images go to models that can read them, and PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and text or code files are read in your browser, then sent as text with your message. Every attachment is checked again on our side.
Can I use my own API key?
Yes. Add any OpenAI-compatible provider with your own key. The key stays in your browser, those messages go straight from your browser to that provider, and they don't use your free messages. Chat is only the window for those messages: that provider's terms, privacy practices, and charges apply, and we don't see or control what it logs.
Can the AI make mistakes?
Yes. AI answers can be wrong, out of date, or made up, so check anything important, and never treat them as medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
